We will get Ruth tomorrow afternoon. There was a mix up in the paperwork and they had scheduled us for tomorrow but we didn't get the message before we got there. 1 more day is no problem compared to our wait so far. We spent a lot of time on Shamain Island today, about a 15 minute walk from our hotel. On the way there we walked through markets where you could buy just about anything, including some things we could not identify. We will be buying at least 1 more suitcase once we decide what we must buy. Stuff is so cheap here, clothing shoes, and tons of knick knacks that you just have to have. Bottled water .23, 600ml coke .30, toothbrushes at 7-11 .50, we have found chocolate, pringles, ritz, chips ahoy. We have not found peanut butter ( we brought 2 jars) or mountain dew.
I forgot to mention that we live like rock stars thanks to Craig. They just love blonde haired white boys. At the airport in Tokyo we just sat down to wait for everyone else to get on the plane because there was about 200 people in line and the attendant came and got us took us through the first class line. Also in Beijing on our way to Guangzhou we got in the security line and it was only 15 deep and these 2 women attendants came and got us and opened up a new lane just for us. The airports are very well run here and they are like huge shopping malls.
We have meet lots of couples from all over the world here to adopt, we actaully feel like young parents because most of them are older than us. (either that or we look older than we feel)
We will be at the cival affairs office tomorrow from 2pm until after 6 so we will still try to post pictures before the end of the day. (remember we are 13 hours ahead of EST)

Hi Everyone,
We are so excited to read your daily blog.Today Valerie ran into the house and clicked on the computer. We all gathered around the computer looking for pictures! We will check again tonight before we go to bed. Valerie is studying China so this is an excellent extension to her learning. China has so much history! Alyssa was happy to read that one can purchase the same snacks we eat.
We can't wait to see all of you and Ruthie together:>)
Much love, Ken, Nancy, Valerie, and Alyssa
