The weather here has been nice. Yesterday started out in the teens and warmed up to 50, which was nice for our day of sightseeing in Beijing. We went to the Forbidden City, it was amazing. The detail in evrything was amazing. We walked through Tiananmen Square, have I used the word amazing yet?. It is difficult to put into words the proud history in China. We visited the Temple of Heaven, which is the largest all wood structed built without a single nail.
Craig has been a big hit here, everywhere we go all people young and old fuss over him , I guess just like home. Craig tells everyone he has come here to get his baby sister. (I hope he is as happy when he has to share us and his toys with her) They really cherish the young and old here in China.
We ate lunch at a local restuarant, I don't know the name but we have pictures. Craig (and Jessie) tried new things. Craig loved the noodles.
After a little more sight seeing we went to a Chinese acrobat show at Chaoyang Theater, it was a GREAT show and a very nice theatre (holds about 2500) Somehow Craig fell asleep during all the excitment. Probably because he had been up since midnight and it was 5:30 now. We haven't quite adjusted to the time change, Craig slept until midnight, good thing we went to bed at 7.
We have been watching Full House dvds and eating peanut butter & crackers since 1am (it's 4:30 am now, or 3:30 pm yesterday at home)
Today we are heading to the Great Wall, we will try to get some pictures posted today. We fly to Guangzhou tomorrow morning to settle in before we get Ruthie on Monday. We bought a pink/purple freshwater pearl necklace for Ruth at the Pearl Market. They say those colors only come from China. We also ordered her 100 Wishes quilt today.
That is it for now< more news soon , thanks for following along and we can see people have left posts but we can not access them from here but be sure we will read them all when we get home.
